Alma Ruth Moon Cash

Alma Ruth Moon Cash, age 100, formerly of Calhoun, passed away Saturday August 13th in Austell. Alma was born March 5, 1916 in Fulton County, daughter of the late James William Moon and Susan Caroline Landers . She was a member of the Resaca Baptist Church and the Mission Study she was also church organist for 11 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed at Georgia Power Company for 20 years. She was a honorary member of the Woman of Georgia Power. Alma was preceded in death by her husband; Andrew Jackson Cash; four sons, Samuel Eugene Cash, James Wesley Cash, Bobby Lamar Cash and Richard Lee Cash, two sisters; Lee Esther Clay and Lois Cantrell, and two brothers; James Alvin Moon and Newt Moon. She is survived by her daughter-in-law; Josephine Cash, her niece and special care giver; Betty Black, eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Monday August 15th from the Resaca Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Blackstock and Terry Brazewell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Monday August 15th from 11am to 1pm at the funeral home.
