Allen B. Meadows

Allen B. Meadows, age 80 of Temple, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Tanner Medical Center. Allen was born on October 9, 1938 in Fulton County, GA to the late James Wesley Meadows and Anita Marie Hammett Meadows. He was a member of the Douglasville First Baptist Church. Allen served in the United States Naval Reserve and was a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. Prior to his retirement, Allen worked as an accountant for Rollins Inc. of Atlanta Allen is survived by: his wife, Leneva Loggins Meadows; two sons, Dr. J.W.“Jay” Meadows and James D. Anderson and his wife Lesley Cox Anderson; daughter, Patricia “Tricia” Meadows Rountree and her husband Matt Rountree; sister, Carol Meadows Murphy and her husband Michael L. Murphy; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one niece; and two nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, April 16th at 5 PM from the Douglasville First Baptist Church with Dr. Danny West and Dr. John Pennington officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 PM until the service hour at 5 PM at the Douglasville First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or the American Heart Association.
