Allen John Casey, Jr.

Allen John Casey, Jr., age 47 of Plainville, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at his residence. Allen was born on July 1, 1970 in Gordon County to Allen John Casey, Sr. and Roxie Goble Leffew. He was a graduate of Gordon Central High School, Class of 1988, and formerly attended Barrett Road Church of God. Allen served in the United States Navy during the Desert Storm era. He worked as an industrial electrician for Sonoco of Kentucky. He is survived by his parents, Allen John Casey, Sr., and Roxie and Freddie Leffew; two daughters, Miranda Casey of Tuscaloosa, AL, and Alexandrea Casey of Tucson, AZ; step-children, Chelsea, Cody and Cassie; his fiancé, Anita York and her children, Demetri and Alaska; sisters, René Bell, Rachel Payne, Angie Hatcher and her husband Donald of Gaylesville, AL, DeAnna Bunch and her husband Kevin of Cartersville, Trisha Prioreschi of Calhoun; and special aunts, Winnie Hobgood and Nancy Adcock. Several beloved nieces, nephews, and many special friends in Henderson, KY also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, July 22nd at 11 AM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Norris Sexton officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant United Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Brett Parker, Bruce Parker, Josh Roberson, Elijah Roberson, Shane Hatcher, Jared Cornwell, and Demetri York. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 PM until 8 PM, and Saturday from 10:30 AM until the funeral hour at 11 AM at Thomas Funeral Home.
