Alfred Lamar Parker

Alfred Lamar Parker, age 60 of Calhoun, passed away on Monday, October 20, 2014 at his residence. Alfred was born on February 10, 1954 in Calhoun, son of the late Henry Parris Parker and Runnett Reed Parker. He was of the Baptist Faith and was formerly employed by Astro Dye. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harlan Parker and Tony Parker. He is survived by his wife Diane Parker of Calhoun; three sons, Adam Parker of Alpharetta, GA, Randall Martin of Calhoun, and Russell Fite of Calhoun; three daughters, Cindy and her husband Steve Reynolds, Tracy Parker, and Mariah Martin all of Calhoun; five brothers, Arnold Parker, Steve Parker, Mike Parker, Erwin Parker, and Ricky Parker; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral Services will be conducted on Thursday, October 23rd at 4:00pm from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at Thomas Funeral Home on Thursday, prior to the funeral, from 12:00pm until the funeral hour at 4:00pm.
