Alan Reeves

Alan Reeves, age 56 of Calhoun, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his residence. Alan was born on October 12, 1961 in Tampa, FL to Gerald and Judy Reeves. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Connell Reeves on August 14, 2018. Alan was a member of Belmont Baptist Church. When Alan’s children attended Calhoun High School, he was active with the Quarterback Club and Band Booster. He was co-owner of RRR Transportation. Alan was an avid fisherman and loved sports. Alan is survived by: his parents, Gerald and Judy Reeves; son, Jarrett Reeves and his wife Jennifer of Locast Grove; daughter, Kimberly Medlin and her husband Jeff of Calhoun; two brothers, Robert Reeves and his wife Joy of Calhoun, and William Reeves of Calhoun; two grandchildren, Layla Reeves and Jackson Reeves; two nephews, Koen Reeves and Evan Reeves; and niece, Ella Reeves. A Celebration of the Lives of Alan and Janet Reeves will be conducted on Thursday, September 27th at 5:30 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. John Allen officiating. Interment will follow in Chandler Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include: William Reeves, Robert Reeves, Jeff Medlin, Jarrett Reeves, Bill Gallman, and Rodney Franklin. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 3:30 PM until the service hour at 5:30 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
